This is the libretto for Argento's 1985 comic opera. It is inscribed in black ink across the front cover (which also acts as the title page), "for Lisl & Win/with love,/Dominick". "Lisl & Win" are the Minnesota modernist architects Lisl and Winston Close. Accompanying the libretto is a 22-page staple-bound program, in fine condition, for the opera's April 12, 1985, premier at the Ordway Music Theatre in St. Paul; it was the first large-scale production at the theater.
