Ice Dances, published in 1936 by Skating, the magazine of the United States Figure Skating Association, is bound in red wrappers, with a silhouette of a skating couple on the front cover. Subtitled "Being articles reprinted from back numbers of Skating and new dances obtained from various sources" it provides in 49 pages some 30 articles, mostly on specific dances, accompanied by diagrams and charts to explain the movements. The supplement, published by the skating association's National Dance Committee in 1937, is 17 pages long, bound in blue wrappers and subtitled "Containing U.S.F.S.A. Diagrams, Pointers for Execution, and Rules for Judging the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Fourteenstep, and Dance Competitions." A pair of attractive publications, well-designed and printed on quality paper. Also, laid into the supplement are a few loose articles, apparently removed from 1936, 1937, and 1938 issues of Skating.
